I have been thinking about this for a while and now I ask the question. Whats better a Paladin or a ShadowKnight, And your would win in a Duel?

/begin cliche response here

It all depends on how you want to play the game

As was stated by somebody in an earlier post, Paladins are more defensive while SKs are more offensive. SKs are a sort of necro/warrior hybrid with a harm touch. Paladins are a warrior/cleric hybrid with Lay hands (a massive immediate heal). As for who would win in a duel, personally i think it's just way too hard to equally equip the two and make it a fair call. I'm sure that the more knowledgable pallys on here will be able to give you a better answer but that my 2 cents.

Another ingenious "Who's Better?" thread.

Listen, there is no "Who's Better?" Seriously, it's like asking "Is apples better than oranges?"

You might get a couple of unbiased answers, but Pally players are going to say Pally, SK players are going to say SK. Pallies are...well...Pallies. Shadowknights are the anit-paladin. Pallies can heal and have beneficial spells, while Shadowknights hurt and have detrimental spells and get a pet.

The only thing that should matter is which do you have more fun playing. If I'm not mistaken, they can weild the same types of weapons and wear the same types of armor (class specific armor excluded of course).

Since SK's don't get spells till 9, I'm assuming the same holds true for Pallies. Create one of each, play them till 20, you should know by then which you like better.

The better PvPer would win in a duel of course ;)

As for playing, depends on your style. As Mula here said, the pally is defensive while the sk is offensive. Depends on your flavor as well, want to be a ne'er-do-well, or want to be a goody goody? There may be more to think about if you play on a PvP sever (teams and what not), but on a blue there isn't too much true difference between the 2. Arguements can be made for both sides just as easily.

I tell you what. Ill start a human paladin and a human sk on my accounts. Ill get each to level 5 and only train 2hs until it is maxed. Ill then equip both of them with a rusty 2hd sword. They will duel to the death and I'll let you know who wins. That will settle the question once and for all.

I'd say it's a pretty even match and it really depends on what tactics are used. My money is on the SK though.

As far as what the differance's are

Keep in mind sk's can also heal themselves with Life taps granted not strong as heals but same preinciple....

As far as who is going to win the duel welp it really depends when each toon can hold out the longest

LOH and HT granted LOH has more hp to lvl ratio while HT doesnt get better tell post 50... I think HT is 10 points per lvl while LOH is 20

But head to head one being offensive and one being defensive kinnda reminds me of the ying and yang each canceling each other out

A definitive answer!

The one that's worse than the other one is not as good as the other that you thought of first, but is better than something weird that I just thought of Smiley: wink

Ask a dumb question. . . . . .

Sorry, but that's right up there with the "Minimum Wage shop assistant" question:

Shop Assistant: "Can I help you?"
Me: "Do you have anything I like?"
Shop Assistant: How can I possibly know that? What a stupid question!
Me: "You started it!"
