Are you serious about this post? Just as well asking someone to buy you a new game. In fact, that is what you are asking for. I can be generous at times but no way I would buy a complete stranger something like that. Who would?

Wow, what a weak attempt at a scam. Jeepers Wally, I never t'ought of contacting Sony over this issue, DAAAUHH!!!

Dumb-***, they keep track of your account information for you. Dumb-***, you call them and they give you access to a downloadable version of the first 3 CDs which needs no CD key to install.
DUMB-***, you should have at least made it seem like a plausible story, dumb-***. Yeher dumb.

Taushar you can buy a copy of Everquest Evolutions (?) for like twenty bucks or so... maybe a little more. It's been a while. Now how much was it for a couple 64meg sticks of ram about three years ago? Cause some random person from this very message board once mailed me a couple when I had a post about not being able to play anymore due to not having enough ram.
I still wish I could remember who it was that sent them though :(

Anyway, my point is, there are some people who are considerate enough to spend some extra money if they're financially sound... so it's not really a to far out of this world request. Although to be fair, it is kind of a silly request to ask someone you don't know to buy you a game... now that I think about it.
I suppose it's one thing to have someone help you out with a game you already have, and to ask someone to buy you a game.

/shrug

I somehow confused myself along the way to the end of this post.

Lowwatt, as I recall you didn't post here begging for some one to send you that ram. It just happened as a result of you asking questions about your system.

In the case above, this person is blatantly asking one of us to break the terms of our aggreement with SOE. (Or to go out and buy them a new game, which ever way you want to look at it.)

The stupid part is that they start off by trying to gain our sympathy by saying their game was stolen. When we all know, that you can easily prove original ownership via your credit card and account details and SOE will hand you back your game. Once the original keys are registered to your account they are yours forever. (One of the reasons why buying a second hand account is so stupid.)

If you really did lose your cd keys as long as you installed the games and regeistered the original cd keys you will be fine. You can do as already was suggested and contact Sony saying you lost your cd's.

You also can go to Sony's knowledge base and put in " How to download EQ patcher" it will give you a link to d/l the patcher and then you can d/l all the programs you need by clicking on advance and selecting what expansions you need. This takes quite some time but is a viable option. Now you also did not say if it was merely the fact you lost your cd's, or can not remeber your user name/ password. On eqlive there is a link to have your orginal user name and password e-mailed to you. All you have to do is enter the original email address you used when setting up your account.

Just a quck 2cp from a habitual lurker.....

Not to mention the fact that the OP has ONE post LOL and Lowwatt has 1K+ posts. I know I would not hesitate to help (if I could in anyway LOL) a "regular" on these boards (Kaolin, Iluien, Jophiel, MobieusElf, etc)... but some out of the blue post like that screams SCAM, IDIOT, lol .....

Fair enough, and good point. I think I started seeing it your way by the time I was close to the end of my post, but since I'd already done the typing I figured I might as well throw it on up. Definitely see where you all are coming from now though ;)

Bit late on the response. I agree with others who posted after me. If someone who contributed to the game and is well known or a friend I met online I would help. I don't know a thing about the poster and I think it's presumptious to think someone will help a complete stranger who has done nother but asking for something for nothing. Again, if they really had a good story why they would want help, then again I may consider helping, death of the bread winner in the family, had sent all the money to the poor in Africa. Whatever. This is no worse then someone in game coming up to you and saying, hey, you are a high level character, can you spare weapon/armor/pps plz? I don't like perfect strangers coming up to me without any reasons and beg for things, either in real life or in game.

Accounts that are stolen are easy enough to get back. You should have the original CDs and with those keys or the methods described above, you can get your account back.

For a first post, this reminds me of another where someone was begging for gear claiming their corpse poofed with all their gear. I can only say this is a pretty weak start on the messageboards.
