LDoN points tableFollow

Is there a table of LDoN points versus average group level? Also, does taking a hard mission give you points equivelant to the next level of mission?

In my experience, we get roughly the following:

Avg Group level: Avg. Points: Max Points(?):
??-53 (48-?) 13 15
53-58 20 24
58-?? (63?) 30 34?

Obviously, the average group levels are estimates. I read the cuttoffs were all at 7/10ths of a level, so perhaps it should be 52.7-57.7? The only cuttoff I have personal experience with to the nearest level is the 58 cuttoff. We had a party with avg. level of 57.83 (one level under 58 avg.) and we got a 20 point mission. Later we had an average level of 58.0 and got a 30 point mission.

Further, the avgerage and maximum points are also just rough guidelines: higher level people get more points, lower a bit less.

Specifically, I would like to know how many tiers there are above the 30 point missions. I am guessing there are 3: 63-65, all 65, and 65 hard (because I read there is a special tier for all level 65 characters). How many points do people get for these missions? It seems they go up by multiplying by a factor of 1.5 each time thus the next tier would yield 45 points, the all level 65 would yield 67 points, and the all level 65 hard would be 100?

I'm sure this is well known information but I just can't seem to find it anywhere.

Also, which LDoN zone has the fewest casters? I thought they were all about equivelant, but switching from doing tons of Miraguls to Ruj. Hills, it seems Ruj. has more casters?

Lastly, which zones have the most undead? Ruj. seems to have very few (none?), and both Miragul's and Mistmoore have lots. What about Guk and Tak?

edit: tried to fix table...twice

Guk has lots of undead frogs mixed in with living enchanter eye things.. I'm not sure if anything in Takish'Hiz classifies as undead. Same with Ruj. Hills. Miragul's can have lots of undead (skeletons) but you're just as likely to get a goblin or wildlife heavy dungeon without much undead at all.

Ruj and MM seem to have the least amount of casters, and most of the ones in Ruj are of the priest varieties (in my experience). Lots of cleric/shaman orcs and a few wizard goblins. Mistmoore seems to have more wizards, necromancers and cleric types. Guk is enchanter and wizard heavy, Tak is druid and wizard heavy, and Miragul's has a grab bag of everything: Enchanter, mage and wizard Holgresh along with shaman and cleric goblins. About the only thing they're missing is druids and maybe necromancers. Some of the "creations" are shadowknights, but I don't think there's any true necros there.

This is all just based off my own experience. Casterwise, I find Ruj easiest because the priest nukes are weak and, so long as you can prevent them CHealing, they're not all that dangerous.

Normal difficulty in an all 65 group yields 51 points each.

Hard difficulty in an all 65 group yields 105 points each.

Tak has mostly summoned mobs.
Guk has mostly undead.
Ruj has mostly orcs.

The type of casters changes from dungeon to dungeon, but I would say they all have about the same amount of casters. I hate Tak due to the druid mobs and the DS that can chew through people.

Thanks for all the info.

Is there a little difficulty pleateau between 63 and all 65? Or am I in the highest pre-all-65 bracket when I get the 30 point missions?

Did two Mirraguls last night (level 62) got 46 points each time.

Did a Mistmore the night before and got 30 something, don't remember exactly.

There is some variance between each of the dungeons, If I remember correctly Guk of a few nights ago was 39.

Don't know how it is calculated, but it is not consistant.

Regarding the casters, we did two normal Miraguls one after the other. Both normal, the level spread was 59 - 65, but only one 59, two 65s, a 64, 63 and 62.

The 59 kept saying the mobs were yellow to red, very rarely a blue. They were mostly even and yellow with some blue to me in the first one, just about all blue to me in the second one.

The first one was a *****. Everything resisted and had huge aggro. I would have to cast snare three and four times every time. Hand of Ro would drag aggro everytime. Wildfire was consatntly resisted. We had a couple of deaths, one evac and just made the last drop before the time expired. The mobs were enraging and I was summoned over and over again. Every second mob was either a healer or nuked like crazy. Not to mention the puller getting rooted, lol.

You would have thought we were in NToV.

The second one was a pussycat, we finished with half an hour to spare. I still got some resists, but snare mostly landed first time, I don't recall taking aggro once, certainly didn't get summoned and there were no enragers. Don't recall a single wizard.

I think it is safe to assume that there is a very large random factor at play in the building of an instanced zone.

You can get multiple points for a Ldon adv? Wife and I did our first one the other night with a group of 3 others....we were level 25 and the others were levels 27, 30, and 32. We succeeded on a hard mission out of EC but only got 1 adventure point out of it. How many points should we be getting ?

At low level you will only get 1 or 2 points. You get more as you get higher.

One other point of difference between dungeons is that most Mistmoore have very few runners. This makes them significantly easier as a resisted snare can cause trouble in the others (either aggro on the snarer or runner gets away). Only the whirly things and spiders run. The strange thing is that when you go in mob-handed with anti-undead you always get a non-undead version full of spiders and dirty old men.

Rujarkan is definitely the prettiest of them all.

Fortified Lair of the Taskmasters with it's rope bridges is one of the best things I've seen in EQ.

Ha! I don't remember the instance name, but one Ruj. Hills one had us on an assasination quest. We moved through the same ole system of grimy tunnels and storeroom after storeroom until coming upon a small hut, in a little glade complete with babbling brook, flitting birds and open ceiling so sunlight was streaming in. Talk about getting the choice real estate.

Oh, and last time I did one in the Gladiator Pits, one of the pits had two creaking crates, just swaying back and forth at one another. Those orcs sure know how to throw a great fight Smiley: lol
