My advice is to start at the Wayfarer's Camps and hail the NPCs that are standing around. The ones that have () after their name, ie (Adventure Recruiter), etc. are there for mostly specific purposes, and general to all the camps. But the other NPCs are there to give you info about the dealings of the Wayfarer's Brotherhood. There is one specific NPC for each camp to give your Adventure Stone more "power". You just need to talk to these guys repeatedly, until they won't say anything more to you.
If you have your journal enabled (CTRL+J) you can read what they have to say at your pace. Just a note, make sure to disable the journal logging after getting the info you need. It can be a nightmare trying to clean up all the irrelevant NPC chatter after 4 or 5 adventures in the dungeons.
Anyway, they will give you more clues to other NPCs to talk to, in other zones. Then they will talk to you. All this conversation with them takes place thanks to the number of Adventure Points you have accumulated from the particular camp that you originally started the conversation with. If this sounds confusing, sorry. I think it makes sense :)
It basically comes down to this: Talk to the NPCs after you have accumulated Adventure Points.
Good luck, especially to those lower-to-mid level LDoNers, where the Adventure Points DO NOT come in great supply.
