My advice is to start at the Wayfarer's Camps and hail the NPCs that are standing around. The ones that have () after their name, ie (Adventure Recruiter), etc. are there for mostly specific purposes, and general to all the camps. But the other NPCs are there to give you info about the dealings of the Wayfarer's Brotherhood. There is one specific NPC for each camp to give your Adventure Stone more "power". You just need to talk to these guys repeatedly, until they won't say anything more to you.

If you have your journal enabled (CTRL+J) you can read what they have to say at your pace. Just a note, make sure to disable the journal logging after getting the info you need. It can be a nightmare trying to clean up all the irrelevant NPC chatter after 4 or 5 adventures in the dungeons.

Anyway, they will give you more clues to other NPCs to talk to, in other zones. Then they will talk to you. All this conversation with them takes place thanks to the number of Adventure Points you have accumulated from the particular camp that you originally started the conversation with. If this sounds confusing, sorry. I think it makes sense :)

It basically comes down to this: Talk to the NPCs after you have accumulated Adventure Points.

Good luck, especially to those lower-to-mid level LDoNers, where the Adventure Points DO NOT come in great supply.

I'm glad this came up b/c it confuses me greatly.

The increases for the Stone's abilities don't come from hailing the NPCs, but from adventuring in LDoN?

In other words, you go from NPC to NPC, for instance:

Ruanya Windleaf-->Farwein Windrun-->Ruanya Windleaf-->Nifel Faliwae-->Ruanya Windleaf

& @ the end of that, you're able to take an adventure that will increase the Stone's abilities, but the hailing itself gives no increase. Right?

Thanks,

Joe

No you hail the first person to get the stone, then after ever 2 sucesses you hail the first dude, untill they tell you to go and speak to the second person <30 wins or +6 hit points/mana if you are only doing 1 type> and so on and so forth

You stone should increase with power as you go along but remember that as with all items with recommended levels you will not get the full effect untill you reach it, i.e lvl 65.

Thanks Tarv for clearing that up! I've tried to research it all & there's not a lot of "Adventure Stone for Dummies" type info.

Not to push your paitent nature, but, do Ialso get adventure points for travelling around doing the hails? I ask b/c it seems like I'll need to buy some sort of object to put the stone--but most of what I've read suggests these items are purchased from the Adventure Merchants using Adventure Points.

Thanks again Tarv,

Joe

You need to win adventures to receive adventure points. But your adventure stone goes by number of wins, it gets upgraded every 10 wins per camp.

The adventure stone is freely given by the adventure NPCs, and if destroyed can be freely re-obtained. It is an augment that must be attached to an item in your charm slot to work.

What item should you get for your charm slot? The choice is obvious for many players over level 55 or so -- the Intricate Wooden Figurine from PoK. I don't know what lower level players usually use, but there are some simple charms you can purchase from adventure merchants. Once you have a charm equipped, you can augment it with your adventure stone. Down the line if you replace the item in your charm slot, you can freely get a new adventure stone to reattach without losing its stats.

So is the upgrade per theme? Upgrades at 30 wins in Takish, and again at 30 wins in Guk, etc. Or is that total wins? 19 wins in Guk and 11 in Takish for example? I had been told by others that it was an upgrade every 10 wins in a theme, but hell I have no idea myself =)

Thanks for the info.

Upgrades are every 10 wins in a particular LDoN <+2 hit points and mana> but the people you need to hail just change at the levels noted.

and of course every 5 increases you also get +1 to all stats.

for example

3 wins in EC <no increase>
17 Wins in EF <+2 HP/Mana>
68 Wins in MM <+12 HP/Mana +1 all stats>
40 Wins in Sro <+8 HP/Mana>
106 Wins in Nro <+20 Hp/Mana +2 all stats>

Total on Aug +42 HP/Mana +3 All stats.

Hi Tarv, good info in your posts (rated you up btw) on locations, though I did have a question about wins.

I thought the wins maxed out at about 84 or so instead of 100 - I have 89 wins in BB camp and both Vual and Elwinn tell me know that I know more than them and there is nothing more to learn (went back last night to confirm this). I have been working on my other camps now and have been turning down BB LDONs unless I am really bored.

Just curious if you got anything more after getting these messages or were you posting from memory like I often do LOL.

Either way keep it coming, enjoy the info in these forums.
