Where is a good place to farm for plat at lvl 50? or to get items that sell in the bazaar?
All depends what class you are.
This is gonna be a odd answer but it is a decent place. Tower of Frozen Shadow is a great isolated place to farm. Going through the whole tower up to floor 5 will bring you close to 1000pp just by selling to vendors. The velium off the ushers at the wedding on floor 5 sells for 100pp at the bazaar. Every usher pretty much drops them. Also there is a bank in Iceclad so you don't have to go far. For the record we did not kill anything on floors 3 or 4 just enough to get the key. All that plat was made on the first two and 5th floor. If you go alone you will run out of space. Three of us went there spent a couple hours split 1000pp and had bars to sell on our traders. At your level this place should be a breeze.
however getting the keys for ToFS can realy really suck unless your lucky. id reccomend you get a hopper grp in dsp maybe, for hopper hides which sell well on bazaar, depending on what class you are you may be able to solo then well and gain some nice xp at the same time. at lvl 50 you can also solo the hill giants in RM which drop upto 45ish pp a go (tho some drop only a few cp) cobalt scar can also be pretty nice loot or teh goes in crystal caverns which drop some nice gems.
Gornit in OOT is good for plat and the ice giants in everfrost just before you zone into Permafrost but both of theses can be camped alot. They also will depend on your class. Some classes can solo them better then others.
A couple of places I use are the boats in Dulak (1200pp in vendor loot in two hours on a good day) and the Grimling Caves (200-400pp an hour on a good day) in Tenebrous Mountains.
You would have to be well equiped to make that much in Dulak though. I use a JBB and drogmor so I can clear the Stormwave and keep it that way. Been doing it since 49 so you should be able to do at least some of it and the XP is very nice there at 50. You can also very rarely get Captain Ostafars to spawn and he has a couple of drops worth selling in the bazaar.
The Grimlings drop gems worth up to 114pp rarely and 12pp gems pretty common. They also drop weapons worth 5pp and acrylia bricks and blocks which sell very well in the bazaar. You can also grab the Grimling Runner every 90 minutes if he's not camped. The pouch he carries can be turned in for a Rallic Pack Pattern that sells for 400-500pp. You won't get much in the way of XP here though, a rare Grimling Foreman will still be light blue but that's about it.
Neither are heavily camped most weekdays and you can still get them much of the time.
