This is regarding the 4 items you can get from the temple of ro by killing mages in Najena.

From what I've read previously - these focus items were supposed to be basically a focus for pets level 4 - 44. But the quest seems to be that its pets level 34+.

Then the posts under the quests seem to either not address the issue or contradict each other.

so - as I have a level 4 mage, I was wondering if I should bother to do the quest now (by having my main get the items), or if I should just wait

You can find all the info you need here. http://www.magecompendium.com/ Just click on Lirary link on the left and then click the top link, next page that pops up look for the Pet Focus link in the list. There is also a link to the Mage Tower forums which is a great place to get questions answered. Word of advice....use the search function before posting a question. It's probably already been answered and they will just link you to the thread it was done in.

Yes, do the quests.

Yes, the focus items will add stats to your pets under level 34.
