Have the Fabled Vanished? (I hope)Follow

#1 Apr 16 2004 at 3:54 PM Rating: Decent
So, we were all hoping that the fabled would be gone by April 15th...anyone know if that has come to pass?

Especially since I have come face to face with the The Fabled Ghoul Lord and barely escaped to tell about it. (A small thanks to my LoH)

I battled the skeleton commanders still this morning, and was talking to people still camping Fabled's. They were up this morning April 16th, 2004. /em shrugs Smiley: confused

Cool, I can still farm bone chips tonight; or take out skel commanders with my main, and drops for my alts; or go after fableds in Unrest.

Should be a good night :) .

DING DONG the Fabled's dead....The fabled's dead....the Fabled's dead....

Everyone! Now just the girls!

Heh....glad to hear that the newbies can now return to their hunting without fearing nightfall!

As an aside, I also noticed this morning that the sellers who passed out the bags for the anniversary quest also seem to have packed up their collective tent and hit the road! It would seem they left in the night without a word... gone like a carpetbagger! And without so much as *by your leave*. (At least this is true of the guys who were visiting Qeynos and Free Port.)

I rekon we can all get back to the business of whacking on the blue stuff in relative safety and anninimity, and with relegious fervor once again!

I have to say I'm happy that the skeletons are gone. I always seemed to hit EC, Qeynos Hills, and all the other areas at night and was too impatient to wait out the despawn. Lead to a lot of needless deaths. Though I'll admit, I'm happy I nabbed a rod of the knight for my monk.

Fippy's Paw is something I will treasure forever, as that mob is a symbol of my true newbie days as a warrior in Qeynos. I also spent an ungodly amount of time in the Gorge of King Xorbb, and finally obtained myself a Fabled Slime Crystal Staff. I could do the quest, but that would defeat the purpose of owning an item off of one of the most rare mobs in the old world. ^_^

Whats wrong with the fabled? It gave the uber highs something to do...say 4-6 level 65s with elemental gear camp a mob in a zone where everything but the fabled is bright bright green..the fabled king pops in Sol-B and dies 4.6 seconds later and a twink has a new BP with 61ac :) But seriously, It was a good 5th anniversary event though..and the mobs were doable by the " common player" with some friends and the items were fairly nice ( I love the journeymans boots ) Its been quite awhile since there was any surprizes in EQ ( with no cost :)
