Screenshots - bugged?Follow

I hadn't noticed that Screenshots are now saved to a subfolder (cunningly named 'screenshots ) in the Everquest folder, but that's now the case. Dunno when that happened.

I now find that when I try to view any of the bitmaps they appear invalid to all of my viewing or editing software. (Error messages are all variations on the theme of "The file specified is not recognised as a valid .bmp format")

Has anyone else experienced this, or has the 'Registry Fairy' been to visit me?

The only way I could get mine to open was..

Right click on the picture

Hit Properties

Hit open with

Microsoft Paint.

Thanks Samatman - not tried this yet but if it works I'm a happy bunny! I HATE bmp's when they work - crap quality and enemy to all peace-loving HDDs. When they don't work they make me use bad words
