SOE sure made no mention it in their April 14 patch, but high-end necros sure got the socks nerfed out of them. At this point necromancers cannot buff/haste their own Dire Charm pets.
Does anyone know if this is a bug or a nerf?

I heard a droid moaning about this so it is not just necros.
It sounds like a bug or they would have announced it as a "feature"

Mages and enchanters are complaining as well. Seems there was a little exploit going on, we'll see if the nerf is just until they block the sploit or if they'll just leave it and call it good.

are you talking about the augment death line of spells?
those were not supposed to work on DC/chamred pets for a necro. those are supposed to only work on summoned pets.
as for getting buffs from other players that is a different story. if that is the case, i would venture to say its a bug for now, but would not be supprised to see SoE say it is now working as intended.
Necro pet buffs only work on pets and for some reason it isn't counting the charmed pet as a...well..pet. If this is now working as intended I know it kills alot of a necro's solo'ing ability at high levels. Not saying we aren't able to now, but definately restricts alot of options. It would seem pretty stupid to give only enchanters the option to buff DC pets though, and a little unbalanced, but hey..its Sony, so whats to be expected. If it's not intentional and gets fixed, then good.

If SOE is removing the ability to have necros haste their own pets, then I am removing SOE's ability to siphon money off my credit card. I just spent 3 months specifically building a line of AAs and an absurd amount of plat to buy Vorshar's Pants of Blight, so that I could use them to buff my DC pet while soloing, yet have an extra spell slot open.
If buffing your DC pet was NOT intended as a feature, it would have been nice to know this from the offset. As it is, I am thoroughly sick of this ninja nerf *********** SOE can go buy 8 feet of rope for each one of its members of management and have them hung publically, because this is making me puke. I want my money and time refunded on this issue! And since we all know that will not happen, here's my middle finger...hitting the cancel button on my account.

yeah, an other person who has woken up to the fact that SoE only cares about the cash they get from your CC/game card.

There is something rather sad about someone who hates the game, has quit the game, and yet obsessively hangs around on a site dedicated to it to take pot-shots.

This is not a nerf.
This is a bug that is being looked into. When I first noticed this issue on my druid I immediately /bugged and /petitioned it. I later spoke with both a guide and later a GM who verified that this is a bug that is being looked into.

nope my post was simple to help and reply with the experiance i have over the years of playing both a necro and EQ.
i never said i didnt like the game, and in fact i often say its a good game, i just hate the company and their horrid track record of making players pay to be beta testers.
