Fabels=SuckFollow

Althought they drop awesome gear, i am very ticked off about the whole fable thing that has been plaugeing everquest as of late.

Last weekend, I lead a vox raid for old times sake since all of the good raid leaders on my server have either retired or gone on to bigger things. We killed the wench with out a problom. In fact, not a soul died. I finnally obtained my RBB in which i had been trying to get for many years =). Anyway, i decided that it was time to take naggy as well since almost everyone wanted to stay. So we ported into lava storm, got MGB again, and started heading down group by group. I recive a tell from a person in the zone asking if i was doing naggy. I replied, saying that i was. Keep in mind that all of this is before i ever even found out what fables were. As it turns out, this wizard and a few of her 65 friends wanted to kill some of the fabels. Little did i know that they were actually in the way of my raid. Anyways after the fabled magas got pulled onto our raid, and wiped every one exept for one cleric and my self who managed to camp out in time. We spent 3 hours finding a way around that stupid *** magus!!! Only to find out that there is yet another Fabeled actually in the lair it's self. After it wiped my entire raid again exept for one necro and my self who camped out in time, we still clung together and not a singel person left. So finally i called in the guildies to come destory this sucker. Our best tank in the guild has like 10k hp buffed up so i wasn't conserned about the fabeled.

But the gayist part about the whole thing is that a GM could of despawned them for us, but was unable to due to some gaylord that was his boss. I had heard that they had done it for other raids on other servers, but in this case we wasted half the night fighting these things. Any who, our crazy monk, ended up pulling the fabled out of the lair into the lava path so that the raid could fight naggy. We killed naggy so fast that the entire raid force had time to follow down the fire path and help out my guild who was battling him there.

Really, i just dont like how they ruined naggy for everyone. But i hear that the fabels are going away soon so i guess its not all that horrible. If any of this makes any sence thats great =), cuz i am very tired hehe.

I just wondered if any one had any thoughts about the whole issue =).

A large box used for hauling around material on pallets. Imagine having a large box for your boss. How sad.

Hey Aerrow, I was on that raid with you. I started a thread called Fabled Go Away on this board on Saturday night right after the second wipe! HEHE

I agree with you...that was really a bad turn of events. The fabled really need to be removed if raiding parties are going in, or better yet, just remove them completely.

You know, the fableds could be put in palces entirely different from where they normally are. Put them in hard to reach areas or places that are not on the beaten path but would offer good sport for those who want to go after them.

ANyway, good to see you post...I agree 100%...I was there! hehe
