Omgz!! Weekend Update!!11!Follow

Pffttt... 10:45am and no update thread yet? Damn slackers.

Was busy most of the weekend with real life die to the holiday, but managed to squeeze in a couple LDoNs. Was nice to see that I didn't suck since I hadn't played a LDoN on my bard in months and have gone up a few levels since, so I was in a new bracket (65). Even Takish-Hiz went smoothly.

As I mentioned last week, I decided to cut ties with the old guild and so I've been roaming around freelance. A few old comrades who'd moved on before I did have been sending me less than subtle hints to check out their guild pages, so it's kind of nice to be wanted I'm planning on just crusing for a week or though so before I worry about app'ing with anyone and going through that whole rigamarole.

Mage.. so.. close.. to.. 34.. and.. new.. spells! Must get last blue so I can blow through stacks of research bits trying to make new pet scrolls!

Wasn't able to get a single group all weekend. Died about 4 times trying to quad wyrvens while KOS, I should of brought my faction up earlier. I'm not happy at all. :(

A lot of RL this weekend, but I still managed to fit in my weekend-ly death, luckily I was got a rez and made progess regardless. I headed to the dreadlands since I was in a grinding exp kind of mood, and actually got instantly invited over to a group.
When I got there I got instantly invited to join the leader's guild, which I thought was a little odd since the only thing he had seen me do was run to where he was from the zone... I have been researching guilds since i started playing, the thought being that when I join a guild, I want it to be a thing I can be really happy with and stick with. I know there are a lot of upstart guilds running around, and all guilds have to start somewhere, but I'd like an invitation to be based on something, not just the fact that I exist. I told him I appreciated it and would think about it, but after searching around and finding nothing about it, I'll probably remain guildless for now.
Probably a good decision since after we started fighting, he spent most of the time AFK and then left to fo to POK for some reason, and he was a warrior which is a pretty handy class to actually have at their keyoard.
So anyways... after a while the leader says "Let's go inside Krarnor's for better exp" and since i'm pretty much willing to follow anyone anywhere, as long as i'm in the back of the line, I aggreed. So there we are, staring down two dvlorag (sp?) whatevers, and a mysterious added mage says
"SOMEBODY PULL"
to which I tell the group my sooth spell will only work up to level 40, so if they want to take the chance i can try it.
"PULL THEN!"
Heh, okay then... I noticed a 65 cleric standing there and figured, okay he might help us out since he wasn't in any hurry to go elsewhere it looked like.

WAH! Here comes both of them beating the snot out of the entire party with the quickness. We took down one, and then the other one took down about 4 of us.
After a surprise rez i noticed the mage disband and dissapear without a word, a warrior disbanded next with few words and I followed since it was bedtime anyways...

Friday night started with the ranger and shaman sniping skeletons in BB. Got a pair of pants and the shawl. Logged on Courtin the cleric to go hunt in Dl with 2 friends, (paladin shammy combo) and pulled from the entrance to KC. Very easy work.

Saturday morning I took Jonwin, Winjon and was running them around bb getting exp on the Lt. and Commander Skeletons. Winjon then joined a LDOn group but alas, could not zone into the dungeon. Ran to get adventurers stone, no luck, finally disbaned. Later on I realized I probably had to do a patch to make sure things were where they were supposed to be.

Went shopping with the women of the house. Teen got some clothing and I ended up with 2 ties. Science Fiction society meeting in the evening, and then more work with winjon when i came home.

Sunday saw me with Jonwin and Winjon, this time in Steamfont Mnts. Place was deserted. Doing it more for fun than anything else now, as the only item the shaman needs is the troopers belt. Still nice exp. May have to pay a visit to Unrest just to see a fabled mob or two. <grin>
Sunday afternoon was dinner at my mom's apartment. It was crowdede and fun. 4 siblings 3 spouses, nieces, nephews and a grandson.
Sunday evening saw Courtin back in the dreadlands, this time in full (mostly) group. Dinged to 41 and a then a yellow into 42.

Friday night: hung out while some roommates/friends ate mushies and went out of their minds. I settled for getting all-out drunk. Pretty fun for all.

Saturday: Hit the driving range, tried to play some EQ. Ran my cleric to Ssra only to find there was no group for me, camped at entrance. Logged on necro, got my **** beat by Taskmaster Torzash? in Echo.

Sunday: Visited the folks for Easter. Felt my ab muscles retreating inside my chest cavity. Tried the necro again; managed to beat Taskmaster (even con to 42) with the help of a modrod. Haven't left Echo in about a week.

I am new to EQ having only been playing for a few weeks, but I think my weekend was as interesting as some of yours...

On Saturay morning, I upgraded my installed software package to include *Evolution* giving me three more expansions to work with. (My original purchase was the package with core game plus Kunark and Vellous).

So, this weekend, my graphics took a HUGE leap forward, I found that I now have double the storage space at the bank, I saw my first mounts ingame, I finally got to visit Nexus and Bazaar not to mention the personal satisfaction obtained from finally getting some response to clicking on the *books*!

OK, now I get it. With the PoK you can get to ANYWHERE, even with a lower level character! I am no longer stuck in the neighborhood, I can get out and start hunting where ever I want to. YAY!!! Next stop, PC!!!

It's all a bit mind-boggling but LIFE IS GOOD!!!

Began with a determined push to finaly GM pottery. Flooded the market with Opal Encrusted Steins, and unfired Karana Idols and Golden Idols of Tunare. Decided that I should at least fire a few of them and so went in hunt of Iron Oxide and Permafrost Crystals, and then the weekend was over. Well that is what it seemed like. No need to go into yet another rant about the stupid time sink that is tradeskills and in particular the recipes that use rare and impossible to obtain drops/spawns. But I sure feel like it .

We did a couple of LDoN's of course, Aesten now has enough points to buy a serious upgrade (neck slot), but can't decide whether to blow it all now or wait a bit more to see what becomes available. Celeni and Iluien spent some time noodling around in PoN and Acrylia Caverns before returning to Permafrost for one last mass slaughter effort. 12 Permafrost Crystals from the death of 753 million goblins

Down in the well in Permafrost, where the dog pits are, there's about four or six Permafrost crystal groundspawns. They're all sort of tucked away, and a couple even my elf had to duck to get to. They look like little dark blue triangles.

Belated WU, but what the heck.

Managed to get pet snare after soloing for ... weeks ? It seems forever. My entire plan since I solo most due to weird play times was to get pet snare, level, and then get paragon.

I manage to get it, and suddenly find a few people in my play time range (mostly because they play *all* the time) to group with so have been doing mostly non stop LDoNs, with a few bad ones in the mix.

Now I'm really wishing I had gone Paragon, but what's done is done.

After months, I'm about 40 % til 62, and cruising along. I'm trying to do an LDoN a day, but currently have mechanical issues at home that are causing unwanted company too often, so I've kind of given up on that til that's taken care of.

Have been browsing looking for guilds, but until my schedule stabilizes, I'll just stick solo.
