Ok, Ok...we have all had our fill of the anniversary GM event, have we not?
How many newbies have to die sitting in a camp or place that should be safe before SOE realizes that they should stop their "celebration"?
But my frustration is with the fabled NPCs and mobs. Took my lvl 48 cleric on a naggy raid this weekend...well attempted to. We put together a decent raiding party...Would have been a challenge, but hey, that is fun!
We spent the obligatory 90 min gathering, recruiting, argueing, replacing the people who left because of arguements, replacing the people who could not wait an hour (thus making our organizing take an extra 30 min). So we got together and went in. We had a few high levels to help with the fabled...but we were pretty sure we could do it.
We were wrong.
We never got to Naggy. Fabled Tranix wiped our entire party more efficiently than Dvinn would a party of 2nd levels camped in the CB zone. We did not even put up a fight...and we had quite a few accomplished players. So we rezzed and CRed and got back to where we were and a high level group managed to get the big guy out of the way. We faught on and got to the room outside of the lair and then we had to deal with Fabled Magus. Well, after that wipe we decided to give up.
Here is my problem...why place these fabled mobs where they interfere with us being able to do normal raids that we expect and anticipate doing?? If you spent this last month at level 46 to 52 you probably have not had a chance to do a Naggy raid because in order for the 52 and below group to get to Naggy you need a large group of 60+ to take out the fabled.
I understand the addition of the fabled dudes, and even think it is a cool idea, but they could been more considerate of lower levels in creating these mobs. I want to do a Naggy raid before I hit 53. To do that I have to stop leveling so that I am still under 53 when this anniverary event ends. Naggy and Vox are raids are anticipated by most players...especially those of us who have been playing since the beginning...when these were the big raids. I should...we all should be able to go on these raids without haveing the worry about running into something much bigger and badder than the dragon we are after.
So SOE, we have had enough. Return the game to normal!
Note: We petitioned GMs to remove the fabled in SolB for our raid. The first GM we got was ready to do this but then told us his boss told him no. That would have been a nice thing to do...re-pop the mobs as non-fabled (because they should have to be contended with...just not in fabled form).
