This is a level 39 undead slow. Is there an improved (higher level) undead slow for necros?

Also, the information here on Alla says that it slows 70% at level 60. Is this accurate or is there a cap to how much it will slow?

From what I have researched, this is the last undead slow spell you receive.

It's level based:

Decrease Attack Speed by 49% (L39) to 70% (L60)

There is no updated version. The spell slows from 45% to 70% at level 60 (which is just 5% slower than the best shaman slow spell in the game.) Necros own the the undead with this spell.

Gotta love this spell :)
Must have for all necromancers. Before that, must have shackle of bone.

I was talking to my friends in guild last night and we were talking about slow spells. Seems that the high end game is so reliant on slowing mobs you almost have to have a slower in your group. This shouldn't be the case and it detracts from the game. IMO they should do away with slow spells and make the mobs hit a little less often. I am a 65 necro and the mobs will wipe me in a matter of seconds even with rune up at high levels. This is also the case in veksar where I have been going lately and using slow which has major taunt. Crazily it only takes 1 second to feign death but many times I find myself dead before I get it off if I get agro.

Then you are an idiot...

Maybe I should reword that they will wipe me in a matter of seconds if they get within melee range which can easily happen with the way mobs warp. If that makes me an idiot then so be it. All I am saying is that groups shouldn't have to have a slower to succeed. Nor should people have to kite mobs to kill them. On top of this many mobs at high levels summon so they can't be kited.

BTW winged if you can take more then a second or two of beatings from a mob that quads for 300 to 700+ you must be uber indeed. The tanks can't even take many hits without uber equipment. The mobs generally have to be slowed and even then it's tuff. For example in Veksar some of the stuff was hitting for 350+. I slowed them with shackle then sent in pet and it was still tuff to keep the pet alive and if I got agro and it summoned me then I would be lucky to get out alive.

My apologies DruidofEQ, I was in a **** poor mood when I wrote that reply. I should have asked questions about what you were fighting, what spell line-up you were using, how often you would FD to shed agro, etc. but like I said I was in a **** poor mood and just lashed out. Again, my apologies.

As for the original topic of the thread, SoS is an awesome spell I just wish there were more places we could use it.

Warping is really TICKING ME OFF. It is happening to me constantly during kiting, and I am taking a lot of damage that I should NOT BE GETTING. Also, when you pop an AE on a group, they suddenly warp MUCH CLOSER, and I have to run like H to get away. Also is screws up the timing on spell refresh, if you stop, "This is the right distance." then bang they are half way closer before the spell goes off. GRRRRR.

PS, not highjacking, somebody mentioned warp up above, and it pushed my button. Sorry for the rant anyway =/.

I was having a problem with warping too. Here is what I did to solve the problem... when I pull (I only use run3 so I don't out run agro) I cast either splurt or a low level (lvl 12 or under) spell to get the mob's attention. I run back to my pet. As soon as the mob reaches my pet, I tell him to attack and I FD. My pet now has the agro. At this point I can do pretty much anything I want - darkness, fear, slow, dot, whatever. Since I started this tactic I haven't been hit once by a warped mob.

Also, if you are get agro'd by your Shackle of Spirit you are casting it too soon. Let your pet take it's health down 10% to 15% before you cast it. I solo the undead all the time in Nadox, the Hole, Veksar, Velks, and the Umbral plains and I almost never have a problem.

It depends on where you are fighting in the zone. I have been fighting in Veksar to get equipment for my beastlord alt. In the middle "church" the mobs hit for only 200-250. They are easy to take down. Once you get a little deeper "highborns" the mobs start hitting for 350+ and have a lot of hps. You can't let your pet tank for long without slowing the mob or it will be dead ASAP and if you get agro you may well be dead yourself even with rune up. Some of them also debuff you which sucks.
