Hit SOE in the pocketbookFollow

It may not result in anything, but it was more satisfying than complaining about SOE to people that are as annoyed as I am.

I have 3 accounts. Each day on that account costs about $0.50 a day to maintain. That means that each day I pay $1.50. For everyday that I am unable to access my account with a degree of satisfaction SOE has wasted my $1.50. The complaint to the BBB is a formal request for a refund through an agency that will not simply say "EULA says you can't get a refund". The BBB keeps track of complaints and informs the company that gets the complaint. Imagine how SOE would feel if there were a thousand complaints within a 24 hour period. That is what makes me happy right now. Join in the fun and spread the word. Request your prorated monthly rate now.

Um... Except that I'm relatively sure that if you read the fine print of the eula, that you'll find that SOE reserves the right to bring down servers for updates, patches and whatnot, so those times can't be used as "lost play time" for your BBB petition.

So, you're basically ******** because you couldn't play for like two days this month? Is 3 bucks really that big of a deal? Heck. I had a dollar eaten by a vending machine yesterday, maybe I should start a class action lawsuit...

Some perspective, please.

There is a differance between patching and updating. Which based on EQlive it does state when the server does go down. However due to the technincal issues of there login servers doesn't classify as a patch. I feel that patching is normal however if they keep having problems like this and lets say that Half the month has gone by and its still not fixed what then. Everyone has differant billing cycles on there eq accounts i have 2 accounts 1 is at the middle of the month and the other is at the end of the month... EULA is a scape goat for certain things but this sure as heck isnt one of them. When i went over the EULA i really didn't see anything regarding technincal difficulties that they are having with there equipment. Sure the game servers are up but the login server isnt for Authentication process its blowing cookies right now.

Just like the patch server is a differant server this is to prevent load issues on the login server( at least that would make since to me) login server, patch server, test server, and the multitudes of game server's they have. Any one them could impact you as a consumer. The word Unlimited Play comes to mind as well ( but we all know that its not the truth)

While we are fantasizing, I want a pony.

And I think you should ask for advance warning of all unplanned outages!
