They did mention it. For at least 2 months before they did the upgrade to DirectX 9. Was right there on the news headlines page.

I don't think so. They kept advising us to upgrade to DX9 but that is not what this thread is about.

I certainly don't remember 2 months of "Our login servers are going to become hideously unreliable on or about the first weekend in April".

That is what it would be nice for them to admit. Wouldn't help any but the point about customer information that Nobby makes is valid.

It's like being stuck on an airplane. Being told there is a "slight technical hitch that will be sorted shortly" is better than just being left sitting. Not much, but better.
