Wolf FormFollow

There doesn't seem to be too many Rangers and Druids posting here these days so this may not be the best forum to air this issue, but you gotta start somewhere, don't you Smiley: grin

As I have moved deeper into the higher level zones of the game the "aggro magnet" issue associated with using wolf form has become more and more irritating.

For Rangers and Druids wolf form is much more than just a convenient illusion or run speed device, for Duids its an important mana regen tool, for Rangers it is even more important for Attack.

These days most groups in higher level zones absolutely forbid a Ranger to use wolf form because of the almost certain "train" it will cause. The aggro range now seems so large that it can chain aggro mobs that are out of sight even. So you may be set up in a relatively safe camp spot, you get one single respawn within aggro range and with a blink of an eye the Ranger has "pulled" half a dozen mobs, usually resulting in a group wipe of course.

Surely it is time that this was looked at and toned down a bit?

If its not "game breaking" for the very same ranger to have Boon of Garou cast on him and happily fight in Werewolf illusion all day, why should he not be able to use Wolf Form in the same situation?

Opinions?

Hmmmm, my druid might not be high enough(level 54), but I really haven't noticed that much of a problem with wolf form.

Sorry( There should be a smiley shrugging it's shoulders, would fit here perfectlySmiley: smile)

It seems much more of an issue in PoP than Luclin, although Grieg's End is a good example of where it can be distasterous. Akheva is another giant no no.

It is so darn frustrating, having waited for years for a decent "inside" version, we get Feral Pack, which is a great spell, and then find that we cant use it Smiley: frown.

Hehe, Grieg's end you get massive aggro with no warning WITHOUT wolf form, at least I doSmiley: wink2, and Ahkeva I've always solo'd so I'm usually careful about what I'm doing and where I'm going in there.
