I recently hit 51st level druid and found that quite a few spells I need now and will be needing 52, 53, etc, are drops off creatures in Skyfire....But I cannot seem to find a group there(Bertoxx server). I tried to solo but used all mana on one, then went to find another (after I medded up) and it got ugly...It debuffed me and bout killed me quick lol, any suggestions?

Sure. Go to PoK. Go into the library. Find the druid mechant folks. See if any of the spells you need are sold there. Alot of the spells that *used* to only be available via drops or quests or research are now purchaseable in the PoK library.

If that fails, head to the bazaar, type /bazaar, input your class and "scroll" (in the bottom drop down), then click "find". You'll get a list of spells that people have for sale. You'll find that a lot of those 50-60 droppable spells are available for very little money.

Yeah. It does take a bit out of the "fun and adventure" aspect of the game, but you can most likely gather the cash to buy those spells much faster then hunting in SF and hoping for the drops you need.

If all that fails, or you just really really want to hunt in SF. Find a cleric that's camping for shards for the epic. Hang out with him/her and help out. It's a boring monotonous job. Often, there'll be a couple folks from the cleric's guild with him/her. Make friends. The'll probably gladly give you the spell drops.

Horrible place. The debuffing of all those buffs you donated for is awful. Like you said groups are hard to come by. Personally, I buy the spells in the bazaar, probably from higher level people who farmed them. Good for them. I would rather farm spider silks than fight in Skyfire, but that is just me. Only been there twice and lost kei and virtue on the first few fights each time, zoned out about every 10 minutes when the whole zone of mobs ganged up on us (well it SEEMED like it).

If you avoid the chromodracs in Skyfire you'll be fine. Those are the only ones that will dispell you.

If you're soloing as a druid, don't bother with fire based DoT's. They'll be resisted just about every time. Stick to your magic based DoTs and you should be able to solo there quite easily.

Aye. I agree with Dan. Those lousy little dragonfly-looking Chromodracs are the ones that dispell you (and do it quite effectively too).

It is just as hard to find a group in Skyfire as it is to solo there. Unless you're a cleric and are farming shards for epic, there are better places to hunt.

When you get a few move levels, and a mana pool over 4000, you will be able to quad in Skyfire no problem. Otherwise its root/rot with Magic only DoTs, and use a Ice Nuke to finish if you want to.
They call it SkyFIRE for a reason, don't even try to cast a fire-based spell.

I found that once I had enough mana and an Ext Range item, the chromos ended up just like everything else that didn't summon my happy little druid butt.....DEAD Smiley: grin

But still, my view of Skyfire hasn't changed. IT SUCKS!! I HATE IT!!

Another place you can find some of these spells in Abysamal sea. At least i see some decent pure caster spells but havent checked vendor for the druids and clerics and or hybrid classes but i am sure some of your spells are there. Another thing is that some of you spells are quested in FV for spell turn in's
