Psst. Has it really taken you this long to realise that I aim for arrogance personified? Look up my choice of name in a dictionary for chrissakes.

Patrician is defined by Webster's as:

1. A person of refined upbringing, manners, and tastes.
2. A member of an aristocracy; an aristocrat.
3. A member of one of the noble families of the ancient Roman Republic, which before the third century B.C. had exclusive rights to the Senate and the magistracies.
4. Used as a title for members of a class of honorary nobility appointed by the Byzantine emperors.
5. A member of the hereditary ruling class in the medieval free cities of Italy and Germany.

And in your reality the dictionaries are also "according to Pat" it seems *ROFL*

Tell me - how did you get an internet connection as an asylum inmate?

I didn't start the fight but I will finish it. Get in my way and you will become a part of it.

I was just musing to myself over the curious way that over time, we see a stream of the same "breed" of poster come to the board flail around for a bit and then quietly disappear. When the though suddenly struck me that this is Tacosid!

Ole Tacosid having a game with us. But then, it is just a little too subtle for Taco, more like some sort of deviousness that Thundra would cook up for her amusement.

Come on now Thundra, admit it, Leiany is a wonderful sockpuppet that you have dreamed up to try and torment us with Smiley: smile

Plebeiany,

Now for your next word. Please look up Plebeian. Now imagine how the Patricians of ancient Rome looked down upon the Plebeians. With a certain aloofness, arrogance and and most certainly down their noses. What do you think Plebeiany?

The Joker once told his sidekick "You tell a joke - people laugh. If you have to explain it it's not a joke"

So try something without letter-format-puzzles next time you want someone else to /snicker along.

Wait...maybe you where snickering about your wittyness - in that case...

/snicker
/chuckle
/laugh

oh bugger...I meant your IQ...

You can come unstuck with trying to be nice.

There has been a massive flame-fest on one server about people reselling. Ie buying low and selling high.

Some people apparently feel this is inherently wrong. They think that they can somehow go on trader with a guarantee that they only sell to their target customer. Somehow they can put something that is currently on half a dozen vendors for 1k on sale for 10pp and then get bent all out of shape when someone buys it and puts it back at 1k. In one instance an angry tell saying "That was for a newbie who can't afford 1k" was sent.

I suspect that trying to be "nice" to one of these and telling them "you've made a pricing error on your XXX" is likely to get you an earful.

As far as I'm concerned if I misprice somthing I have to take the loss. I am not going to send tells to the buyer asking for more. The other side is that if I see something cheap I will buy it and have absolutely no sympathy for the seller mispricing.

Allowing returns for someone who buys the wrong size of armour is a bit different and I can see that as good customer relations. I'd still be more inclined to replacement than refund.

I made a silly purchase the other day. So overjoyed to find anything I could afford I bought a H2H weapon. Only afterwards did I realise it was secondary only. Still it will be nice when I get dual wield. Smiley: smile
