New EQ Lore SiteFollow

I am starting a new EQ Lore site, as my last post on this topic got little response I am hoping for a bit better. I have always seen Lore as a Major part of the game that recently has been much more of a background that a strong force. I will be going to sites, NPC's, Vendors and anything else to find in-game lore. I hope to have the beginnings of a site going, set up someone like EQatlas where you can click on a zone and find out all the lore found there, history, boss mobs background, etc.. This is a large undertaking and I have seen very little of this. If interested, I would Love anyone to go out, and take either Screen shots, or writing of Lore, Book name, where found etc, logs of NPC lore, or anything else from in game to contribute. Email me at Rouge@aol.com (Not ROGue. Give me a name or such for credit for what you send, and I will have a better system of this if I get any type of positive response. Thanks- Anachronox

An honorable Effort but - no offense meant - years to late my friend as lore is mostly covered within quest descriptions - and I seriously doubt you can provide the webspace needed.

(opened my own thread for the rest instead of further hijacking this one...)

In my opinion, the demand for lore is not very high. More of us cared about the 'story' behind the game world back in the beginning. Now the game is filled with people who are more interested in where they can 3-box or powerlevel their berserker_alt_01 the fastest.

Sony itself has been less than interested in promoting the lore aspects of the game. This is the first RPG I ever played where the story was contained on their website and not even within the game world.

If you are looking for a comprehensive list of lore content such as the text of in-game books, you might check this site:

http://bhur.silverwordz.com/index.php

This is a roleplay guilds site but they have a large list of in-game books and newspapers in their 'library' section.

Vaslin Slickfinger at EqCaster has the EQ Compendium. It is out of date, last updated April 2002. I found it interesting.

I wouldn't agree with this, the Story Window and Journal additions to the UI seem to take us in the opposite direction. I do think the lore keepers lost their way a bit with PoP, but from LoY onward I think they are making a decent attempt to get it all back on the road again.

If you go back through the story window there is a common thread ever since LoY that is building and developing a story line that is clearly heading - "somewhere".

(By the way, are those special quest sections of Chardok and SolB still open? You know the ones put in the game with bits of clues about Natimbi etc.)
