Is it possible to go from 0 t0 250 baking without ever leaving PoK?

What is the best route to go about this. Someone said make fish rolls til 135? After this what is the cheapest and fastest way to go about getting your "uber" spoon?

If it be tradeskill information ye seek, pilgrim, then trek on over to EQ Trader's Corner and knowledge ye shall find.

They have extensive guides and active forums and should be able to give you every bit of advice you need.

Not that anyone here couldn't do it, but that's just a more likely place to find the answer, especially since they have a wealth of guides and recipe information that you can search.

That being said, I don't *think* you can get to 250 in baking by staying in PoK alone. Don't quote me on that, because I'm not 100% sure. I don't even think you can GM baking on vendor items alone. I'm pretty sure to get to 250 you need at least some mob drops for the highest end stuff, which you can get for yourself or buy from a PC in bazaar. If I am incorrect, please correct me.

IF you can find a vendor in POK that sells lion meat, bear meat, etc... Then with a fillet knife you can go from 0 - 143 without breaking a sweat.

Not sure about the rest since I have not tried. The bat wings and fish can be bought in Freeport. There is a vendor by the Nexus port in Shadowhaven that sells different types of meats that will get you to 143 or so. You really don't have to run that far from POK. Hope this helps a bit

The fresh fish can be bought from the fishing vendor behind the library and the bat wings from the DE spell component vendor right across from him. I know a lot of people use patty melts to get to 248 or 250. You have to go to jaggedpine forest to get the cheese for those. I also know a lot of people use griffon meat for level ups, but that can be quite expensive, as it's bought in the bazaar, and my toon was selling them for about 30-40pp each (on Povar server).

The trivial for Patty Melt is actually only 191. Beyond that Misty Thicket Picnics and Halas 10 lb. Meat Pies are popular to progess toward 250. I've only gone a tad beyond 191 myself (and don't recall offhand how I did it) but I know some of the crab/tuna/cragbeast/hynid recipes that came in with the GoD expansion offered a different route into the 200's than MTP's or HMP's. I may be wrong, but I don't think any of the recipes beyond patty melt can be done entirely on normal vendor stock (not counting stuff PC's have sold to vendors, or buying from traders in Bazaar).

Edited to change link to the EQTC patty melt page.

Now I have to, just to be contrary. Smiley: wink2

The game designers have always placed tradeskill supplies in places that encourage travel. For example; Jaggedpine Forest is the only place one can buy cheese, Abysmal Sea is the only place one can buy ground pepper.

That being said, I suppose it would be possible to /auction for any ingredients not available from merchants, so technically yes, one could skill to 250 in PoK alone.

VWDiesel is absolutely correct, EQ Traders is hands down the best site for tradeskill information, though Alla's database is growing nicely.

Fish Rolls in PoK to 135
Patty Melts in Jagged Pine to 191
Then you can make Pixie Powder Cinnesticks to 201
1 Cinnamon Sticks (foraged in Gfay or Purch in Bazz)
3 Pixie Powder ( dropped of Pixies in Gfay/Lfay)
Combine In Mixing Bowl
After 201, You have to do Griffon Melts (Just Like Patty Melt, but use griffon meat instead of bear meat), or Misty Thicket Picnic.

Hope this helps

No but you can do brewing and jewelry but not baking.

Halas meat pies requires Mammoth meat so thats out

Misty thicket picnic's require jum jum so thats out

Any planar cooking is out, Melts need cheese so they are out.

you can do it without killing anything but not without leaveing the zone.

Best route. Spider crunchies to 46
Candied spider to 88
fish rolls to 135
fillet in cream to 152
patty melt to 191
halas 10lb meat pies to 226
griffon melt to 250.

Yup, and now they have screwed up the boat, so you cannot get to the Abysmal Sea...

Go figure.

Since you can not get beyond 202 without foraging, it is safe to assume that you can not get to 250 with just store bought items.

hmmm lets see

Anaconda melt: anaconda meat, loaf of bread, cheese :trivial 250
Cheesy griffon Casserole: griffon meat, noodles, cheese: trivial:250
Halas 10lb meat pies: Trivial:226 <no foraged required>
Holy cake: Trivial:242<no foraged required.>
Dragon steak: Trivial 235 <no foraged required>
Tae ew pie: Trivial 250 <you guessed it no foraged required.>

And thats not including PoP recipies.

If you are so completely ignorant of the subject involved then it is best you do not post, since your infomation is completely wrong and you end up looking like a prat.

edit: screwed the link up

First of all, my apologies for forgetting two words, or farming. It should have said you can not get over 202 without foraging or farming. Second of all, there is no need for such a rude remarks. I am a member of 1750 club, I have GM'ed all the tradeskills. I am NOT ignorant. If you read the whole statement, you would have have noticed that second part of my statement is what is relevant to the original poster's question, you can not go beyond 202 with just merchant bought items. Lay off that caffein a bit.

easy/cheap way to get your baking up to around 130 is to go down to east commons, find the batwing vendor and buy 3 back backs full of batwings, then run to west commons, find the guy that sells fish, but 3 bags full of fish. Combind them in a spit, and it will take you 100+ in no time, the rest from there i haven't got a dam clue =)
