Ok, rant time (sort of)...
This has to do with where you 'park' your toon while you are doing the various non-moving duties associated with EQ. Things such as inventory, banking, talking to friends, buffing, etc.
Is there or can there be a convention as to what is good and bad parking etiquette?
Main concern is the ability of EVERYONE to get to and fro in a timely manner.
This is most noticable in heavily trafficed areas such as the Bazaar or PoK but general rules should apply, so I propose somthing like:
1. Never park in a doorway, archway, connecting tunnel or other limited width conveyance. Some toons are...LARGE...and do not always have shrink.
2. Do not park in a zone-in spot. Once you zone-in, MOVE. This includes Druid/Wizzy port spots (PoK spot being a prime example). Do not hold group conferences in these spots either. Again ONCE YOU ZONE IN, MOVE!
3. Do not set up a buff service DIRECTLY in path to zone, stone,
bank or other (see #1 above). Gee Whiz...my KEI service needs to do big biz, let's set up...right in front of the main bank door in PoK! WOOT? Would it really hurt to get to the side or back? People WILL find you... People seeking buffs should be just as mindful.
4. Be mindful when entering and exiting a building, you may have to back up to allow others to pass by.
I know that most people abide by this from common sense. You see the people in the bazaar and PoK hugging the wall to med or do other stationary buisness.
Anyone else just as annoyed with this (I know, it's minor) 'problem'? (Rant over) Please add any other 'parking etiquette' you may think germain...
