Speaking of kithcor I used to go through there all the time. I also used to like Lesser Faydark. I really didn't like when they changed them to higher level zones.
The days when "Dvinn to zone" saw 50+ people running scared!
When you could consent someone to loot your corpse so it wouldnt rot!
Zoning into Fear or Hate, dying and taking hrs to get rezzed!

- Receiving my first fine steel hammer and feeling invincible (kudos to earlier post)
- The first time a RL friend took me on a level 45 tour of EQ (I was like level 5). I was amazed and astonished at the size of EQ and how much running we did.
- My first levitate across WK and I thought it was unbelievable looking down at all the mobs.
- When the Oasis was mobbed with ppl around the dock and my cleric spent all his time on his butt, face in his spellbook.
It's funny now that I think back, how absolutely enormous EQ felt (this was 3 years ago). And how getting my first levitate or seeing another Player class other than a halfling was just mind boggling.

When clicking off your spell book gave you a 50/50 chance of returning to the game or crashing to desktop.

LOL I had forgotten about that. Funny how you remember the "good things" and quickly forget the "bad things" that made you so mad so long ago.

Running said DE invisible into Akanon to get his Regurgitonic.. then boating to Freeport, running through RV (invis again) to WK to barf the dog.. Then running .. Then running.. Finally.. a Stein of Maggok! WOOT! Sell in EC.. Rinse.. Repeat!

Oh I sure do. I think I lost my college years between 1991 and 1993 in a MUD out of Sweden called, StickMUD. I would either play in my house on my solid 1200 baud modem or go to the campus and play from a Library computer.
So many people were MUD-ing on campus that the school eventually banned any multiplayer games from being played on school systems. They then attempted to ban students from playing MUDs all together due to the their perceived notion it was disrupting our studies.
All of this and it was strictly a text based MMORPG! Imagine reading your way through EQ now?
