Any way to get a link under Forums for Tech Support Forum? I don't know if it's just mine, a default or something that I can customize, but I have Main EQ Forum, Quest Forum and OOT Forum links readily available. Think a link to Tech Support Forum considering the current question regarding DirectX9 would be real helpful (and cause I was too lazy to try to find out what other forums are available but will now hehe)

That's because you presumably connected to this site via the everquest.allakhazam.com address. Thus, your page automatically puts those three under the "Forums" section. I would assume that FFX folks will see different forums, and the SWG folks would see yet another set there. I assume that the OOT one is such a general one that it's included on all of them.

If you actually click on the "Forums..." link instead of one of the three under it, you'll get all the forums (for all the games Alla supports). There, you can see the tech support forum.

Although I suppose it might be useful for Illia maybe to add a link to the tech support under forums for all games? That might not be a bad idea now that I think about it...

ROFL!
I had never tried that Gbaji, and I often wondered why there wasn't a link to Tech support over there!
Thanks!

I STILL think it needs to be shown without the extra clicking, even though I know how to find it.

Ok. I'd like to hijack this thread for a short (sure, aren't they all??) question regarding my router.

First off, I apologize for not having the exact details for my router, but it's at home and I'm here at work.

I know it is a 3com router (1 port inc and 4 ports out that can handle up to 99 computers using dhcp with additional hubs as necessary). It is a hardware firewall. I have 3 machines on it now and occasionally a 4th when someone brings me a computer that has problems. My nephew brought his over to borrow my cable connection to play EQ. So he is sitting a few feet from me on his computer playing EQ and I'm sitting at mine playing EQ. There is a 3rd hooked up to the router in another room that is not being used at the time.

Cable connection is (as far as I know) 512 for bandwidth, but as I understand it, if more people get cable internet in my housing area then that can reduce my bandwidth as it accomodates them.

The problem is that I was doing fine in EQ (low ping times, no lag, playing pretty much like normal) but he kept lagging out to the point of being disconnected.

Are there suggestions as to what might be the culprit? If more info is needed, let me know and I'll find out tonight at home and post a follow up.

Thanks in advance!
