I followed the directions from Flamecaler and successfully created the boots. I have not been able to get him to give me another pattern. Can you only get one, if so why will he give you another box and still spout out the same text??? I'm new to EQ, but becoming addicted quickly. I've noticed that other classes have the same type of quest. Can I create these other types of armor and are any worth using if I can?

Yes, you should be able to get the patterns from him and complete the other portions of this quest (unless for some reason it is broken, if you try again and he still won't give you the other patterns you can /bug report or try /petition). It is good starting armor for a ranger, unless you are lucky enough to have some pp to buy some other gear. If not, complete this quest, and then you can work on the Ivy Etched Armor Quest as an upgrade to Trueshot.

Armour for other classes will only be for those classes. You will not be able to use it.

The newbie armour quests go according to a pattern.

First you say the words to get the box.
Then you say the words to get the pattern.

You only need to do the second part for other armour pieces.

Just say "I want to craft a XXXX" where XXXX is the name of the item. No need to go through the "I am a ranger of tunare" spiel each time

Hiya

I've managed to get the bits for the boots and the pattern , and have combined and made the boot material. Now what do i do? Shouldnt I have been given a mould as well ?

Any help would be appreciated.

to finish armor piece put the material and the patern in a loom and hit combine. molds are used in place of patterns on heavier armors like the warriors plate
