Whats your opnion on the game? I think it has a good econmoy and what not. I rally like the characters too. Much better than when I played EQ what do you think?
A friend of mine played FFXI and he thought it was very cool.
From what I am told: It has fantastic graphics and such. It seems a bit limited as far as character choices (race not jobs) but that will change with time. He also mentioned the job changing feature which sounds really nice...need a cleric? I have a level 20 white mage....let me get him. Same guy...new clothes. Ok, ready to go.
Try it. If you don't like it, EQ will still be here.
You, also, may want to check the FFXI forum on Alla. Might give you better info.

Didn't care for it. Some aspects are better done than EQ but some of it felt rather shallow and was lacking. No sense in debating what works and what doesn't since it's all a matter of personal opinion, but the upshot is that I'm still playing EQ where as I've cancelled my FFXI account.

isnt that the point of a debate to give opinions so those that havent played can see different viewpoints?
especially since that is what the original poster asked for was opinions
and although this might seem like a flame it is truly not
intended as one

ok and i just realized that this sounds like i mean you would vote me down for disagreeing with you joph and thats not the way i meant it
but ever since i defended a poster in another topic i could no longer rank posts and discovered it was because i was too low and have noticed that everytime i post anything now i seem to get even lower
so that wasnt directed at you but at those others who vote me down no matter what i have to say just because i told them they were jerks
