I'm wondering which is the Best Combination of Daul Wield Weapons that I have for drawing agro?

I'm wondering which is the Best Combination of Daul Wield Weapons that I have for not drawing agro?

How do you figure out what the Attack is? I can't find the formula.

How do you figure out the ratio's for Comparative and Offhand Efficiency? I can't find the formula.

    Faster weapons draw more Aggro

Attack is the combination of many things, I have never seen a formula, it is based on STR, Ratio, Weapon Skill, Offence Skill.

Here is a good explanation of weapon damages in offhand and primary, basically this confirms that fast weapons should go in your primary.

One question, how did you get all that gear at level 42 without even understanding aggro?

Fast weapons with good ratio. add in procs = high aggro

    high aggro = dead ranger.

    your welcome.

At this point there's a lot of possibilities:

    1) He bought plat
    2) He has a non melee main
    3) He hasn't been paying attention.
    4) He bought/inherited his character.

I give him the benefit of the doubt and go with #2, but otoh I grouped with a 58 warrior a month ago that didn't know how to join a group, so any deficiency of knowledge is possible.... =)

just cause ur main is non melee shouldnt mean you dont know about agro. casters need to know about agro at least as much as melee do cause most casters can out agro most melee in most situations if they want to, obviously doing this is bad as agroed caster = dead caster (depending on what ur killing of course)

To answer all of your questions is that I have another character.
Which I use to get my platinum, through killing spiderling silks and selling buffs.
I also kill spiderlings with this character.
I also use the ranger to track for newbies working on there quests.

On the agro part of it, I tried using different weapons so i don't get agro.
But nothing seems to work at not getting agro at some point in a group.

Example last night I grouped with a SK and Pally and no matter what weapons I used I got agro. They just couldn't keep it.
I had to stop attacking and back up and and just keep getting attacked until they finally got agro back then I would start attacking and get agro right back again.

That's why I asked the questions that I asked.

No, I don't buy platinum or characters. Why would anyone buy anything with real money, its just a game right.

Thank you all for your help.

Ok then, The Gomdurig is a rogue weapon, lose it. The copper hammer of striking is a warrior weapon, lose it. Sword of the bloodsworn is also a warrior weapon, bin it. Keep whatever weapon that ha the best ratio, then go buy yourself a Defenders lightblade, or something else with a high delay, look at my secondary weapon, it is nice too. If that doesn't work you should have a 2 hander as well, I use a War Marshall's bladed staff, very nice weapon, cool graphic too.

the explanation with the money is a bit murky to me, the gear just looks to friggin expensive... with farming silks I dont make more than 800 PP an hour (pls. post, if there is a better way to farm for a lvl 33 pally *g*) ... plus, why dont you show your high lvl main... plus, why did ur profile did show your server (stromm) earlier on, but is removed now... hmmm

but hey, not up to me to judge Smiley: smile

what I would do, simply use a different sword. get urself a rallic pack or a tinkerers bag (if you don't have one yet, cause money seems not the issue here), put all your swords in there and pick a relatively low damage high delay weapon in case you get aggro.

randomly I picked A Servant's Blade https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=6260 oh, yes, no drop Smiley: wink2 but should be doable to solo this guy

that means, that you do not do the max amount of damage, but you don't get aggro either.

    GLuck

It smells fishy to me too, I just thought I would let him off the hook. He didn't even mention that he camped the bazaar, the only real way to make that kind of money at his level. What class is your alt, what buff do you sell with your alt, how much do newbies pay you to track for them. Anyway, I still find it strange that you have 100k worth of the wrong weapons for your class, you obviously didn't hand these down from you main, or did you? I guess if your main was a warrior it would all make sense. Is this the case????? Give us a list of all your characters over level 40.

I have a 65 enchanter selling Kei and a 63 warrior. And I have a 1 lvl character camped in the bizaar selling my wares. Which I handed down the 2 warrior weapons down from. I bought the Gomdurig.

I sell my tracking for 100pp for every two quests completed for them.

Why would I post my sharacter's now when everyone is saying bad things about this character.

So you all can say oh he bought all his stuff.

    NO THANKS.

Ok, well that it explains it then. 63 Warrior, thats why you have the warrior weapons. And yes, Enchanters with KEI are one of the games best money makers. Sorry, for any doubt. Cobra it is funny that newbies are willing to pay 100pp for tracking, when they could probably buy nicer armour than their newbie stuff in the bazaar for 100pp. I will have to try that, I have never tried to market my tracking.

WARNING: newbs will NOT buy your tracking for 100pp. NEWBS WITH 100pp ARE TWINKS AND DONT NEED THEIR NEWB ARMOR. IT IS THE TRUTH. NOW,LETS ALL DANCE LIKE RICK JAMES.

Well Kaeerin you have me totally confused.

Your two original questions were "how do I draw aggro?" and "how do I not draw aggro?" with a list of weapons.

(Weapons by the way that are a terrible choice for a 42 Ranger).

Then you say that you play a 65 Enchanter and a 63 Warrior.

A 65 Enchanter would normally be just about the most knowlegable person in the game when it comes to understanding aggro. And a 63 Warrior, given all of the trouble they have had to battle through in the past year, would be equally expert in the matter, at least with regard to "drawing aggro".

It appears very inconsistant, makes me think you are trying to pull our legs in some way.

But in case you are serious, put all those weapons away for some time in the future and go and get yourself a Wurmslayer and a Sarnak Parrying Blade.

If you must dual wield, this is the combo to use at 42.

When you want to draw aggro, you simply cast Flame Lick and snare, but I'm sure you would have known this.

PS... the relative efficiency figure is calculated for a level 65 character. You could draw some very erroneous conclusions by trying to apply this to a level 42 character. It would be more illuminating to use simple "real" ratio or modal numbers to compare likely DPS.

;-) I'm sorry, that was a bit of a trap. I knew that if I could get you to say that you had a high level warrior, your whole story would become totally unbelievable, and it worked.

    Mission Accomplished!
