Vah Shir N00b QuestFollow

I am looking for some advice here, I started a vah shir warrior on the vallon zek server (not my usuall one) to try out PvP.
I completed the noob quests up to the 2nd cloak/weapon with great difficulty, then according to varying sources I have received different facts about the 3rd cloak, am i right in thinking I need like 5 different tradeskills at 100+?? if so, bye bye PvP, are SOE really evil enough to make this quest so tough??

The Vah Shir newbie quests were the last to be done before what we all now call "newbie armour quests". they do indeed involve tradeskilling and sometimes to relatively high skill for the level of player expected to do them.

They have provided means of skilling them relatively cheaply nearby but these often involve farming mobs that have long since gone green for no drop components.

I am just confronting the Shaman and Beastlord recruit quests and have come to a halt until I can get skills to the required level. Brewing is easy from free bits but tailoring takes a bit more farming. I think they expected people to have multiple attempts so that they would eventually succeed on a triv 136 combine with skill of 40. However the rarity of the components makes this a PITA.

Or you could just go to the Abysmal Sea and skill up to around 50-something in all TS for free.

Gotta have LDoN and GoD, go to one of the normal LDoN spots (EC, NRo, SRo, BB, etc) and then go to Nedaria's Landing. Then from there, go to Natimbi.

Wait in Natimbi until the boat, comes, ride the boat. VIOLA! Your in The Abysmal Sea.

Rest of quests can be found here.

Then follow the link Haggan gave you.

Many thanks Haggan. I'll be off there soon to see what I can do.
