Where would be a decent place for a 56 BST to farm? Never really farmed before, but getting to the point where plat is becoming essential for higher level gear and I basically have no source of income aside from selling old/unused gear. Any and all help appreciated, thanks...

spider in EK for silks and likk lions for pelts while your at it. At one point i sold the pelts as they where but i now farm spiderling silks aswell in Innothule Swamp and make leather padding, you can make 2-4k per night and i do it once a week for 3-4 hours. to bumb up my income.

As a 56 beastlord in mediocre equipment you should be able to do the first three tiers of Nurga readily. Free faction for Chardok, 2-5pp drops, the occasional star ruby or diamond, and semi-frequent 500pp-2k+ loots. Much less boring than farming tradeskill supplies.

You might want to consider Dulak. You'd get experience there and the mobs drop pp, weapons and gems. The shipbuilder's yard is a good camp for a soloer. Static spawns with one or 2 wanderers for variety. Leave the Windscorn Templar and Initiate alone for now.

Go with as many empty weight reduction bags as you can carry. Giant capacity will be best as the shields that drop are giant. A magician can summon 10 slot, 100% WR bags.

You may find yourself spending a lot of time here for the next couple levels once you try it. Smiley: smile

My husband plays a bl, I'm a magician. It's a very effective combo for these mobs, but he started soloing here at 51.

As I recall, the shields weigh a ton and sell for only a couple plat. If you can't get 100% WR bags, I'd just leave them to rot and save your slots for Zraxthril weapons which weight less, sell for 5pp and change, and still drop often enough.

Still, Dulak is a good idea. Beats boring greenie farming and the cash is more "instant" in that you don't have to spend time in trader mode, competing with 300 other people selling silks or padding.

The shields sell for about 3.8pp. The weapons do bring in more money. I'm a greedy bugger with 100%WR bags, so I pick these things up.

Destroy the shivs as they only fetch about 7sp. If I'm running into bag space trouble, I start destroying the racial meat, words & lastly, the shields. I've usually had enough farming before that's an issue though.

Although it comes into the "greenie farming" category you could also do Crystal Caverns Orcs for velium or spiders for Crystalline Silk.

On the bordeline is CoM where there are reasonable cash and VJ drops and a fair supply of named dropping more valuable things.

I know of a mid-50's BST who used to solo a boat in Dulak and make good money but I think they nerfed the gem drops since then.

If you do the Nurga/Droga thing then take a gate potion of some kind.

[Edit: Since I just noticed youo are not on a server I play Smiley: smile try Seafuries in OOT. Get the spot by Gornit and kill him every 6 mins as well. ]

The best farming i have done for a while was quadding in CS (i know you cant't as a BL, but you could still hunt there), they drop gems every now and again, but the real plat is in the hides, i made 1000s there and still make a trip when im running low on cash. Never forget the good ol' frost giants (i love those guys).

First attempt with a quote, so please forgive me if it didn't take properly :)

At 56 you're not going to want to do Droga. The mobs there will tear you a new one.

Doing Nurga no gate potion is required, although it does make it a lot easier to get back to PoK - same can be said of anywhere with longer than a 5 minute run though. Nothing at all in Nurga sees through invis though. Here is a link to the BEST zone guide ever created. Make sure you get the zone maps as well if you have LoY. The player who made these put a lot of time and effort into them.

One final note regarding loot in Nurga. The best drop, IMO, from Nurga for a self equipped beastlord is the Lesser Knuckles of Serenity off of Death Caller Joepla. Although the large room with the Bloodthirsty Rat before Joepla's room can be solo pulled, Joepla's room cannot be solo pulled until 59. However, at 59, it is WELL worth the effort.

Sorry if it seems like I'm pimping Nurga, but it has proven to be the best all around money and exp zone I have ever been to as a beastlord, and I went from 52 to 59 there with occasional forays to other zones. Just make sure to max out your resists - LOTS of casters.

Have fun, farm away, get levels.

i would go to High Keep and kill a lot of guards or rathe and kill a lot of giants.... hk may be slow money but its the funnest... guards arent that fun bnut lucky drops are good

Edit: when i said "guards arent that fun bnut lucky drops are good" i meant Giants not guards .. giantrs are the boring ones cuz of all the rouges there and people stealing your kill .. in HK there are plenty of gyards to go around ;) i was 42 and soloing guards easilly and giants took all my mana but still easy to kill ... untill you get more than 1 and i runnnn forest runnnn

Still loving the tips, guys! Tried out a few of the places listed, and all are extremely productive : ) Thanks for all the help, and more is welcome!

Edit: Would like to point out that I am also a Barbarian Beastie, and would prefer not to farm in zones or areas that would hurt my good factions (i.e.: Highkeep)...Although I do appreciate the tip! Thanks

That's some nice farming :) Been trying out many of the spots suggested through the posts and have found some areas I like very much. Any other ideas or suggestions appreciated. Thanks all...

Acrylia Caverns is decent bang for the buck farming ore for tradeskillers. Unfortunately I don't remember what level you need to be to single pull - it may be 57 or 58. By 59 you can easily solo the primalist and get yourself a Grimling Skin Mask which is a VERY nice upgrade for a self equipped beastlord.

If you haven't gotten your 44th level DoT Malaria, you might want to consider killing bruisers in Torgirin's Mine as well. They drop the powder you need for the quest, and there is a (low) chance that they will drop a Grobb Hide Cowl. I've gotten three there just killing for fun. Note that the bruisers can be a major pain.

I'd honestly suggest just farming in a place you get exp from without worrying about leveling. I pull in 20-40k a level when I just grind exp, and I'm only 59th. Just have fun :)
