Sorry to bother you all. If I am level 35, what level can I group with up and down so everyone still gets XP?

Thanks

They have to be within half your level above you in order to group with them and get exp. Obviously, you must also be within 1.5x the lowest person's level for them to group with you and get exp.

I have no idea if it's rounded up or down though, but at level 35, this should be the approximate range:

Higest: 35*1.5= 52.5 (52 or 53)
Lowest: 35/1.5= 23.3 (23 or 24)

You'll have to figure out how the roundoff works in these cases.

Usually, you don't really want to come anywhere near those extremes though. Someone will end up getting really crappy exp if you've got people at all ends of a 30 level spread. There's a reason why LDoN only allows 7 levels between highest and lowest. Always try to keep your group reasonably close in levels.

Also, I believe the highest level in any group will take the most experience from each mob. A good reason to keep everyone fairly close in levels for an exp group.

Roger that. Barring zone modifiers or racial modifiers, it is simple to figure your xp percentage in a group. Divide your level by the sum of all party members' levels to get your percentage. (If you are level 15 and have two members, one 14 and the other 18, your xp percentage is about 32%.

It is to your advantage to be the lowest member in a group. For you, the experience flys. The ideal situation for a level 44 anything is to get into a group of 65s. You can level in an hour or so if the mobs are available.

For me, I don't care how the exp is divided, because in a group with high levels, there is lots of exp to be divided.

EQ always seems to round UP when figuring the max level you can group with if that helps. 1.5x your level is accurate though. Same with being lowest.

Lowest lvl character seems to get best exp of the group. Doesn't mean you're getting more than anyone else, but being lower level if you get 1k exp for a kill and someone who's 1.5x your level gets 1k exp for the kill, it ends up meaning more to you than them because you need less exp to hit the next level than they do. (I do think the higher level gets more of the exp, but not by much which is why the lower lvl character levels faster)
