Let's see, people who are gay care, people who have gay friends and/or family care, and people who don't like seeing anyone's race or sexual preferences used in derogatory ways care. Accepting the word gay to mean lame is the SAME as is being okay to say "He was selling the book for $5, but I "jewwed" him down to $3." It's wrong and
NOT a natural evolution of the English language. It's insulting and racist and if you can't tell the difference, that says something about you.
Unfortunately people are using the term gay in a derogatory mannor, just like some people in certain areas use the term Jew to mean cheap, but that's doesn't mean it's right or acceptable.
It's not that people are offended about everything, it's that many or most people are mature enough to be sensative about the feelings of other people. Which is a really what this entire post is about to begin with. It's also about people who
don't think about anyone else's feelings when they do things and why they end up getting the reactions they get!
