Well, it's really your call.
LDoN can be fun and good exp with a good and efficient group; and it can be a tortue with a bad group because you can't just make up an excuse and disband. While it is possible to have fun and good exp, the real reward is when you reach level 65 and do a lot of adventures for pts. However, good groups are hard to come by. Most likely you'll be invted to a group which takes 30 mins to recuite and get everyone in zone, 20 mins to figure out what adventure type to get, 20 mins to buff up and get ready, and 20 mins after each adventure to figure out split and loot. By the time you are done with one adventure, you could have ding'ed couple times in grind exp zones.
GoD offers not much for sub 65 characters, so skip it for sure.
If you are sure you are planning to move to EQ2, then I suggest don't buy any expensions.
