And sorry for being a bit direct now but I have NO idea how a 40+ levl toon can be SO low on plat!

May untwinked Morden Rasp Cleric with lvl 13 (!)even has 400 plat at the moment and makes about 50p a day on crafting banded armor. Furthermore you should be able to cash 50p per LDoN so - not to be meant as a flame - your problem is not that you HAVE no money - you should work out some ways of MAKING it.

And i am sure (apart from earning it the hard way tradeskilling) you will get a lot of good advice on this board

You could get a Centi Shortsword for that money, but I would not reccomend it for a 40 warrior. You MAY be able to find a deal on a Wurmslayer, but they often go for more. You should be wieling a Blackened Acrylia Blade, Frostbringer, Sword of the Bloodsworn or something else that does as much damage as possible and has a proc, if you can afford a proc weapon. I cannot and I am doing pretty well with a Wurmslayer and Blackened Acrylia. (Guild is planning to hunt some procs, so maybe I'll roll one). You should also be dual wielding if you are going to use 1HS.

I would look through the prior posts on good ways to farm plat and save up for a good weapon. I have found Hill Giants in Rathe Mountains to be a good source. They drop up tp 49 plat each and also drop FS weapons that sell decently to vendors. If you have a weapon to use in the meantime, you may be better off investing part of the 400 in 2 opal encrusted steins (char +25) for when you sell the vendor trash.

If you've worked 1hB as well as 1hS Club of the Ice Ocean is a very good weapon for that level, and on my server sells for 500p or so...entirely possible you'll find it for less.

If you can get together a VERY good group that is willing to hang out for some time, you might be able to handle Droga, and get the Copper Hammer of Striking off King Dronan. Not recommended if everyone else is about your level, but if you have some friends that are higher level than you and willing to help, it can be done. Problem is, the King is a random spawn with a placeholder....you could get lucky, or you could have to camp him for several hours (which is why the hammer sells for 10K+)

Meanwhile, I suggest you find a source of income. Have you not been getting any share of the loot while grouping? Or have you been selling everything to NPC vendors instead of players?

A couple quick sources of income, if you're willing to sell them in the bazaar:
bone chips - oddly enough, sell for 1 or 2 plat each
spider/spiderling silks - currently selling for up to 18 plat a piece on my server - at 9 plat a piece I sold all mine within 5 minutes of setting up in trader mode
hides/pelts/skins - high quality tends to sell around 50 plat,medium quality for around 10. I'd save the low quality and the spiderling silks and make leather padding, which goes for around 30 plat on my server.

Other than that....search the bazaar for weapons in your price range. Try to find something with a proc...procs really do help with aggro control. Good luck!

By the way, what server are you on? If you're on Fennin Ro, I can loan you something decent to use while you earn more plat. That way you can bank the 400pp.
