dyeing armourFollow

I am having some problems dyeing my wrists. I have the colour and i have now manage dto dye them. ( after many unsuccesful attempts i dont know why it didnt hold ).

When i dye them the colour, it now holds, but after logging back in it reverts back to the old colour. I then have to mess around switching over my wrist armour then going into dye and saving dye again on the wrists, zoning, then it goes back to the colour i want.

This is getting annoying, does anyone know the reasons why please?

try:

/dopropertinting on

then shutdown and restart EQ or sometimes it works when you just zone. This may take care of the problem

Which wrist are you dying? IIRC, the armor in the right wrist slot by default determines what color *both* wrists will appear to be. This is set whenever you log in or zone.

However. The last wrist armor that's put on will override the default. So. Lets say you have red armor on your right wrist, green armor on your left wrist, and you've dyed your right wrist blue (note that the dye stays on that location regardless of what armor you have where).

Ok. You zone. Your wrists will appear to be blue. You pick up your red armor and put it back on your right wrist. You still have blue wrists. You pick up your green armor and put it back (re-equip it). Your wrists appear green now. You zone. They go back to blue. You die, get a rez and loot your corpse. Due to the ordering of gear, this puts the red bracer on the left wrist and the green on the right (rings and earings always get reversed as well). Additionally, it places the left one second, so now your wrists will appear red until you zone, or pick up and re-equip your right wrist.

This can get very confusing. Basically, you can do one of two things;

1. Dye one wrist (preferrably the right one). Get in the habit of every time you swap out gear, or die and autopick your gear, to pick up and replace your right bracer. This will make that color become what's shown.

2. Simply dye both wrists (the same color!) and be done with it. Do this, and it wont matter how your gear gets swapped around, or what else you do. Is it worth 50 plat to save some aggravation? Probably...

Speaking of dyeing armor, how do I go about dyeing armor pieces? I want to do this for my ranger later on.
