Berserker Class Diciplines & IntimidateFollow

#1 Feb 16 2004 at 11:47 AM Rating: Decent
Does anyone know what Intimidate will do when obtained at level 20? Also I hear that you get low level diciplines, does anybody know how to turn them on or off?

Intimidate will put your character through a series of animations culminating in a kick after which you get a message that says "You're not scaring anyone"

The disciplines are obtained by buying the Tomes from the two guys in the PoK library with < Berserker Tomes > over their heads. On the left as you enter. hand in the book to a berserker trainer and the discipline is available to you (you may need to zone unless they fixed this). Use Alt+C to get the combat discipline window and right-click an empty button to put a discipline on it.

They can then be used by pressing those buttons. The buttons can be copied in the usual way to your hotbutton pad.

Actually intimidate is a class skill that you get from the trainer and not a Combat menu skill

Intimidate has a CHANCE to scare off a mob to run (depending on the con Red Con most likely you wont scare it) IF you manage a successfull Intimidate use your leg cut to snare the mob...

I really think this skill is useless in my oppion

Thanks for the info guys. As far as diciplines go I think they are different then the Combat Abilities you get from Tomes, not an expert myself I read that you aquire a dicipline of:
Focused Will Discipline: 3 hp regen per tick for 1 min. At LVL 10, This plus other disiplines are learned at different lvls. Got this information from http://goberserker.com/index.php?section=disc2 Not sure how to get this turned on or how to make it hot button. Any Ideas?

No.

Disciplines ARE the combat abilities you get from Tomes. Follow the instructions above.

I bought Focused Will from the EC vendor and did exactly as I outlined. Focused Will is for all pure melee at level 10. I bought it from the Rogue Tome vendor.

Moreover those of us who already had disciplines prior to the change had to go and buy Tomes and then do the hand in business to get them back. This was rather annoying.

Unless they have fixed it. Last time I played around with intimidate on my Rogue, several months ago, it did not work very often at all. Less than 5% of the time.

Regarding intimidation.
In a patch message a while back they stated that the reason intimidate wasn't working was because if any other skill was used (ie: kick, disarm, whathaveyou) while the intimidate skill was trying to go off it reset the skill and cause automatic failure.
I believe they said they fixed this problem. However, I don't see much use for the skill unless you happen to be a melee grouping with someone who's fear kiting and just want an extra chance to help fear the mob. Still doesn't work all that often I've found.

Regarding berserker skills/discs, we get a HECK of alot of tomes we have to buy and turn in. New axe summons every 5 levels and all. Also, focused will is one of the most useless skills I've seen yet. Heals something like 30hp over 1 min or something like that and gets turned off automatically if you attack or get attacked by anything.
