I started playing again...after about a year.
All my rogue macros are gone and i don't remember how to make em.
i want to make an evade button.
turn attack off
hide
steal
turn attack on
backstab
I am totally clueless about how to do this. hehe
any help would be appreciated

Set up your buttons in the spots you want them, then use /doability # to do that action. The ability slots go:

if auto attack is in slot 1, youi would have
/doability 1
/duability hidenumber
/doability stealnumber
/doability 1
/doability backstab
You may need to fit some pause statemnts in there to get it to work right, but I can't remember if you can have a pause on the same line as the doability command.

Sorry Kao but Hotbuttons can't be used with the /doability. I don't think you can put autoattack on the abilities page.

you could try a shorter pause if you like. You do need to be stationary for it to work.
If you choose to put a /doability # (where # is the ability button with Pick pocket on) then you can. This is not however a required or necessary part of an Evade macro. It also breaks the Hide.
And do not link Backstab to the macro. Certainly not after it. There might be occasions when you wanted to evade after every backstab but I can't see a case for doing it before each one.
Your time between backstabs will vary with Haste applied etc. You really want to use it whenever you can. And you don't need to evade every time. Manually hitting Backstab as it refreshes seems sensible.
If you have a tank with very firm aggro then you can backstab many times before you need to evade. I was working with a 65 Paladin the other day and only needed Evade once in 2 hours.

Kao was referring to the Abilities and Combat menus, not Hotbuttons. I always thought there were six ability boxes per menu, so Abilities would be:

I just tried it and the /doability does spread past the 6 ability page buttons but the combat page is numbered 1-4 below the combat and ranged buttons. These are activated by /doability 7-10. I could not get autoattack to activate using /doability.
