Gay or not Gay?? males playing female toonsFollow

Why does this thread bother so many people? The message boards are here for people to discuss sublects of interest to them. If you don't care wether playing an opposite sex toon makes you gay, or have no opinion on the subject, why are you reading this??? And why don't you want me to read about/ discuss it? I think that's kinda disturbing. On page 3 there are at my count, 16 posts out of 50 containing nothing but requests to stop posting. I wonder how much that contributed to refreshing the topic?

Anyhow, I don't think playing an other sex toon makes you gay. I tend to think of my toons as charecters in a book or movie. I don't think of them as extentions of myself at all.

Peace

Now, now. Only gays and liberals call other people names. And that's only because they can't think of anything else to say.
Now go take your Ritalin.

Learn to spell before you post again. Remember the spelling rule, "i" before "e", except after "c".

OH NO, I mentioned the word "rule" again! FLAME ME! Smiley: jawdrop

Let me start by saying that I am only replying to the post for one reason and one reason only. I care NOTHING for the post itself.

Quote:
I am assuming by "Judeo-Christian theology" that you are referring to Leviticus 18. If so, let me give you something to chew on.
Quote:
But as for us "Christ is the end of the Law" and the beginning of a great love relationship between God and us!

While you are correct in what you find in Leviticus, and what you have quoted from Luke, you failed to miss the point. The point is this, Jesus came not to condem the law but to fulfill it (His words).

Romans 1:18-32 - read the whole thing but here's something for you to chew on - Verse 27:In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

Seems VERY SPECIFIC about homosexual relationships though it does not use the term. And to help you, the word Fornication is not in the bible either but I'm sure it has some clear rules on it.

There is no other debate you can make about it from a biblical standpoint.

If there is one thing I can't stand is someone who attempts to use the bible as a personal soap-box while eliminating the truth of the Word that they are quoting.

do men give me stuff just cuz im a female? i don't think so but most of my gear is no drop and i dont accept gifts.

do i get the occassional cyber tell? way too often. guys i dont care how much my fake character i play turns you on. most women dont so cut that out.

people play in different ways. some RP some dont. me i play my characters as an extension of myself and do ot RP. i dont judge people on who they are in EQ - only in how they play.

I am female but have several male chars.. and I am not gay. Why do I have the male chars? Because my husband occasionally plays them, and doesn't want to play my female chars, because they are always getting hit on. Plus, it's a nice break. My female chars are always chatting and talking - the guys are all strong silent types. If I am not in the mood to talk, I log a male toon. It has nothing to do with my sexual orientation, or my husbands... it's just a preference on what type of char to play at any given time.

I'm gay, a conservative, a longtime registered republican, and a 12 year Rush Limbaugh ditto-head. I've heard Rush call people a whole bunch of names...frequently

The last time I took Rush Limbaugh seriously was about 10 years ago when he suggested that all the homeless people in Seattle should be rounded up and used as targets in a bowling alley or some other such nonsense. He even referred to it as a "final solution".

Anybody that takes Rush Limbaugh seriously has missed Limbaugh's main message. He is for ENTERTAINMENT purposes ONLY.
It's laughable that so many people take Limbaugh for Gospel.
OH NO, another reference to religion! Smiley: yikes

A quote from a few pages back, but I can't resist.

Quote:
They judge themselves, as we all judge ourselves. And all are found wanting. But, according to Judeo-Christian theology, a special place of damnation is reserved for people that are homosexual. Not my rules, I just repeat them.

Please do the following:
Get out of your chair.
Reach behind your computer.
Pull the plug.

Thank you.

Oh, and also:

Quote:
You never tried to "deescalate" (whatever THAT word is) the dialog

Last time I looked, deescalate and de-escalate were two different words. Well, one is a word and one isn't. I'll let you foul-mouthed funny folks try to tell which one is which.

Says Vanaan the vanquished, immediately after reading:

Quote:
2 entries found for deescalate.
de-es·ca·late or de·es·ca·late

Since you're obviously having difficulty understanding the structure of a dictionary entry, I'll help you out.

Quote:
2 entries.
That means there are 2 matches.

Quote:
de-escalate or deescalate.
As you can see, one entry is written with a dash, one isn't. This denotes there are two acceptable ways to spell the word. I removed the dots as they appear to be throwing you off. The dots indicate syllable breaks.

Class dismissed.

It's perfectly alright to be gay, but it's one of the worst things anyone can do to act upon those feelings. That's both mine and the Catholic Churches' view of this.

If I see a woman in Everquest, I like to think it is a woman playing the toon.

I really wonder what you expect the player behind the toon to be when you see...
a dwarf
a troll
an ogre
an iksar
etc pp

Do you say "What? You're not a wood elf in real life? That's gay!"?

Happily playing female toons and not giving a <zensored> if anyone else is gay, streight, bi or a dwarf.

absolutely correct with people being nice to you :)

instead of asking for gear, people simply give it to you because you look cute :-D my female druid once asked for a bind at orc lift. she got the bind, plus tons of buffs plus 100 PP, just for looking cute...

I said nicely "gee, thats really nice of you :)", gave him a kiss on the cheek, massaged his shoulders and went of hunting.

gay? hehe, if I am gay, then so is Bruce Willis and S.L. Jackson and whoever else...

BTW, as only straight people can enjoy playing females, prolly whoever plays a male char is gay :-P
