Every caster/priest toon I have under 60 <save cleric> on just about every LDoN I've been : "Cleric, can I get a shot of BoF?"
slight hijack here. A personal beef. WHY?
I get the same requests (and I do know what the spell does)
To my mind the people who need it are those with slow, time-critical casts.
First in line are slowers. They need spell haste. The faster a slow lands the less damage is taken.
Druids need it for direct heals
Enchanters need it for slows but not mezzes (which are too fast) and possibly for Pacify
Wizards don't need it. They time their casts anyway and it is not critical that they land 10% sooner.
Mages ditto (except possibly if they are healing their pet - unusual in groups with healer)
Clerics don't need it (surprise) None of the heals I use are affected by it.
Hybrids don't need it - their spells are all too fast to benefit. (Possible exception for Pacify on Paladin pulling)
Melee definitely don't need it. My rogue seems to get given it quite often
In raid encounters with massive hp mobs then there is more of an argument for Wizards, mages, Necros and other Spell-dps classes getting it since they will be chain-casting. Although even here we are only talking of them getting in one additional cast every 10 casts. In LDoN where the individual mobs fall so fast the benefit is lost.
In short for most people it is a worthless buff that consumes 300 mana to cast.
Sorry for the Hijack. I feel much better now.
here's a one-liner for you to make up for it. Not sure if it's a "good" one though - it nearly lost us the LDoN.
